Today, we are excited to announce that we are a part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2020 Batch!
Back in 2015/2016, we offered digital marketing support services to several digital and financial service companies in Africa and most of our clients relied on us to manually automate their customer’s sales journey using emails.
However, this wasn’t very effective with their local customers in Africa, due to the then low internet penetration and cultural behaviors towards emails in some regions, so we decided to build a multi-channel based platform that made it easy for African businesses to communicate effectively with their customers across Africa.
We started out with email and SMS options but soon, other channels like voice and instant messaging came into the picture, which has now become the norm for business communications in Africa.
We are focused on Africa, home to a billion people with over 33.7Million unique mobile subscribers and a fast-growing young population.
As a new generation of technology companies spring up to serve this populace (mostly financial technology companies), we are well-positioned to provide them with a fast, affordable and reliable communications API-based infrastructure that scales with them.
How does it work
We’ve built a library of APIs that:
- You can integrate into your mobile app & web platform to send out notifications across SMS, email, voice, and instant messaging channels.
- It allows you to verify customer identity and transactions.
- It gives you accurate engagement insights into how customers interact with your messages on a daily basis.
There’s also a web interface that allows digital agencies, regular businesses and individuals to leverage our messaging tools for their basic communication needs.
