Termii WCW Spotlight, Tarebi Alebiosu
Our WCW spotlight today is on Tarebi Alebiosu, a Senior Business Solutions Architect with 10+ years overall experience in the technology space. She is a Business Solutions Architect, Software Developer, and a savvy technology entrepreneur.
Tarebi started out as a Software Developer and Solutions Architect in London and New York, specifically at Live Technology Holdings, a subsidiary of Omnicom based in New York, where she worked as a developer and solutions architect and has since taken on top-level design for all internal and external applications including, identification of relevant new technologies for project use.
In 2006 she founded her own tech solutions company — YOKE SOLUTIONS which has completed over 200 projects for organizations in various sectors such as Agriculture, Aviation, Energy, Consulting, Advertising, Rural Electrification Energy and both the Lagos and Bayelsa State governments, to mention a few. She was also on a two-year outsourcing contract with Code Worldwide, a UK-based software provider where she managed product development for General Motors.
Tarebi is also Founder of Sugar Weddings & Celebrations (SugarWeddings.com), a Leading Nigerian online wedding resource website which boasts of eight million page views to date and 6000+ event service professional listings. Sugar Weddings and Parties runs a blog where it shares wedding and party inspiration as well as useful tips for couples. It also provides planning tips, inspiration, vendor contacts and everything needed to guide its millions of visitors through life’s celebrations.
In company with Yoke Solutions and Sugar Weddings & Parties, Tarebi is a co-founder of Yan Games Limited which recently launched YTrivia, the first live trivia gaming app in West Africa.
Tarebi owns a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Queens College, City University of New York as well as a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
